Why you should join the City Learning Centre

You might not know this, but the CLC is open before and after your normal school day so that you can use our computers to finish homework or carry out research for coursework projects. All of the usual facilities are available, including internet access, free printing and scanning equipment.

To use the CLC outside of normal school times, though, you need to be a member. The simple reason why is security -- you don't want strangers in the building any more than we do! Joining is very easy, costs nothing, and provides you with a photo ID card which lets you into the CLC before and after school every day, even during holidays.

What you need to do

  1. First, print out the registration letter and read it carefully. It tells you what your membership does and doesn't entitle you to do.

  2. Then take it home for your parents to read, and ask them to sign it if they're happy for you to join the Centre.

  3. Finally, take it to your school administration office and ask a member of staff to stamp it with the school's official stamp. This is just to prove that you are a student at an eligible school.

When you bring the signed and stamped letter to us, along with a passport-sized photo, we'll exchange it for a plastic registration card.
